On August 27, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau , with the support of the National Center for Supporting Innovative Startups under the Department of Science and Technology Enterprise Market Development (Ministry of Science and Technology), nano water treatment technology was successfully transferred from ZwitterCo Company (USA) to Agricultural Technology Import-Export Company Limited.
Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Enterprise Market Development, assessed: This is a solution aimed at applying green technology to protect the environment. With the transfer of this breakthrough water treatment technology, industrial parks can use this technology to create a shared platform and infrastructure to reduce costs for businesses. Instead of one business or factory using this technology platform, the industrial park can use it so that all factories in the industrial park can benefit with optimized costs.
Delegates visited the nano water treatment technology of ZwitterCo Company (USA). |
ZwitterCo's water treatment technology uses nanofiltration membranes to turn industrial wastewater into purified water. The nanofiltration membrane is an invention of a US startup, developed from a competition-winning study at Tufts University. The technology uses a nanofiltration membrane that looks like a sponge when magnified, with pores on the surface that can remove moisture from the air and act as a vacuum pump, pulling water molecules away from oil and dirt in wastewater.
Also at the event, a cooperation signing ceremony took place between the National Center for Supporting Innovative Startups and units to promote the commercialization of technology projects in Vietnam.
