DNVN - Cisco will implement pilot projects to promote digital transformation in national infrastructure, the public sector, and the business ecosystem in Vietnam within the framework of the Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) program.
Cisco has officially launched the National Digital Transformation Accelerator (CDA) program in Vietnam. Announced at the Cisco CXO Symposium in Da Nang on June 20th, the program will see public-private partnerships between Cisco and partners in Vietnam to accelerate the national digital transformation initiative.
The CDA program in Vietnam has been strategically oriented and developed to ensure alignment with the Vietnamese Government 's National Digital Transformation Program until 2025, with a vision to 2030, aiming to enhance the country's technological capacity.
The program focuses on promoting economic growth, technological innovation, and cybersecurity resilience through upgrading the nation's information and communication infrastructure. The launch ceremony was attended by Dr. Guy Diedrich, Senior Vice President and Global Innovation Director of Cisco; Ms. Bee Kheng Tay, President of Cisco ASEAN; and Mr. Jason Kalai, Acting General Manager of Cisco Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
“The CDA program bridges the gap between the nation’s digital transformation goals and the benefits of a digital society. This model is based on a high level of trust and commitment among partners in the public and private sectors within the ecosystem. We look forward to collaborating with the Vietnamese government and domestic businesses to build sustainable, secure, and inclusive communities through joint investment in digital skills training and innovation,” said Guy Diedrich, Senior Vice President and Global Chief Innovation Officer at Cisco.
The CDA program in Vietnam will implement several key initiatives, focusing on three main pillars:
Digital transformation in national infrastructure: Cisco will collaborate with domestic service providers to jointly develop 5G, equipping these companies with the necessary skills and best practices in network development and innovation. 5G networks are a critical infrastructure in Vietnam's digital transformation program. Their development will enhance data transmission, boost business productivity, and improve community connectivity.
Digital transformation in businesses: Cisco will equip the financial services and manufacturing industries with leading-edge technology and invest in co-developing advanced digital solutions to drive digital transformation across the industry. This will enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam's financial services and manufacturing sectors, thereby boosting economic growth.
Digital transformation in the public sector: Cisco will collaborate with public entities to enhance the national digital infrastructure for the Vietnamese Government. Initiatives in this pillar will support the establishment of digital government, improve urban management, and promote more inclusive community development.
“The Vietnamese economy has demonstrated strong and stable growth in recent years, with digital interaction and cloud-first models rapidly becoming the norm for businesses across the country. Coupled with the Government’s National Digital Transformation Plan, this is the opportune time for public-private partnerships to strongly advance the country’s digital transformation program. At Cisco, we are committed to working with all stakeholders in Vietnam to jointly drive a new era of growth, address cybersecurity risks, and deliver an inclusive future for all,” said Jason Kalai, Acting General Manager of Cisco Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
