DNVN - Cisco will deploy pilot projects to promote digital transformation in national infrastructure, the public sector and the business ecosystem in Vietnam within the framework of the Country Digital Acceleration Program - CDA.

Cisco has officially launched the national Digital Transformation Accelerator (CDA) program in Vietnam. The program, announced at the Cisco CXO Symposium in Da Nang on June 20, will see public-private partnerships between Cisco and partners in Vietnam to accelerate the national digital transformation program.

The CDA program in Vietnam has been strategically oriented and built to ensure compliance with the Vietnamese Government 's National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030, with the goal of enhancing the country's technological capacity.

The program focuses on promoting economic growth, technological innovation and cybersecurity resilience through upgrading the country’s information and communications infrastructure. The launch was attended by Dr. Guy Diedrich, Senior Vice President and Global Chief Innovation Officer of Cisco, Ms. Bee Kheng Tay, President of Cisco ASEAN and Mr. Jason Kalai, Acting General Manager of Cisco Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

“The CDA program is a bridge linking the country’s digital transformation goals with the benefits of a digital society. This model is based on a high level of trust and commitment among ecosystem partners from the public and private sectors. We look forward to working with the Vietnamese government and local businesses to build sustainable, safe and inclusive communities through joint investment in digital skills training and innovation,” said Guy Diedrich, Senior Vice President and Global Chief Innovation Officer at Cisco.

The CDA program in Vietnam will implement several key initiatives, focusing on three main pillars:

Digital Transformation in National Infrastructure: Cisco will work with local service providers to develop 5G, equipping them with the necessary skills and best practices for network development and innovation. 5G is a key infrastructure in Vietnam’s digital transformation agenda. Its development will enhance data transmission, boost business productivity, and improve community connectivity.

Digital Transformation in Enterprises: Cisco will equip the financial services and manufacturing industries with leading technology and invest in co-developing advanced digital solutions to drive digital transformation across the industry. This will enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam’s financial services and manufacturing industries, thereby driving economic growth.

Digital Transformation in the Public Sector: Cisco will work with public sector entities to enhance the national digital infrastructure for the Government of Vietnam. Initiatives under this pillar will support the establishment of digital government, improve urban management, and promote more inclusive community development.

“Vietnam’s economy has shown strong and steady growth in recent years, with digital engagement and a cloud-first model quickly becoming the norm for businesses across the country. Together with the Government’s National Digital Transformation Plan, the time is ripe for public-private partnerships to accelerate the country’s digital transformation agenda. At Cisco, we are committed to working with all stakeholders in Vietnam to foster a new era of growth, address cybersecurity risks, and deliver an inclusive future for all,” said Jason Kalai, acting general manager, Cisco Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
