In the second half, SLNA once again took the lead. In the 79th minute, Olaha passed the ball to Ho Van Cuong who rushed in to finish accurately, raising the score to 2-1 for the Nghe team.
But once again Binh Duong scored an equalizer. In the 87th minute, Binh Duong's center back Janclesio joined the attack. He received the ball bouncing off the SLNA defense, Janclesio volleyed beautifully like a striker, scoring the equalizer 2-2 for Binh Duong.
It was thought that both sides would have to settle the score in a penalty shootout, but the drama came. In the first minute of extra time of the second half, former SLNA player Que Ngoc Hai, who is now playing for Binh Duong, made a mistake. This central defender pulled down Olaha in the 16m50 area.
Referee Hoang Ngoc Ha awarded SLNA a penalty. From the 11m mark, Olaha successfully converted the penalty, scoring the winning goal 3-2 for SLNA.
This victory helps SLNA enter the final. SLNA's opponent in the championship match will be CAHN Club.
In the remaining semi-final match taking place tonight (June 26), CAHN won 3-1 against Viettel The Cong Club.
All 4 goals in this match were scored in the first half. The scorers for CAHN were Hugo Gomes in the 14th minute, Quang Hai in the 18th minute and Alan in the 40th minute. The only goal for The Cong Viettel was scored by Huu Thang in the 37th minute.
The 2024-25 National Cup final between Song Lam Nghe An and Hanoi Police Club will take place on June 29 at Vinh Stadium.
