Opta calculates that Inter Miami have just a 16.8% chance of beating PSG to advance to the quarter-finals of the tournament. The home team's odds of reaching the final are just 1.3%.
In the knockout round, Inter Miami is rated by Opta as having a better chance of advancing than Fluminense, as the Brazilian representative has only a 15.6% chance of advancing. Fluminense will face Inter Milan on July 1.
PSG are seen as too big a challenge for Inter Miami. According to Opta , the UEFA Champions League winners are also the second-best team in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ (34.8%). Only Manchester City (35%) are rated higher than PSG, as the Premier League club won all three of their group stage matches.

The next three representatives in the top 5 teams with the highest chance of winning the tournament are Inter Milan (25%), Bayern Munich (21.8%) and Chelsea (21.2%).
As expected, European clubs have performed well in this year's tournament. Of the 12 European teams that participated in the group stage, only three (Porto, Atletico Madrid and Red Bull Salzburg) were eliminated.
Teams from the European region also had the highest win percentage (61.1%) and the best average points per game (2.03) during the group stage.
Fans witnessed 48 matches in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ group stage with 144 goals scored, including 7% by Bayern Munich in their 10-0 win over Auckland City.
South American representatives also had mixed performances. Brazil were the most successful nation with four teams reaching the knockout stages (Palmeiras, Botafogo, Fluminense and Flamengo). Meanwhile, both Argentine representatives Boca Juniors and River Plate were eliminated.
