Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club goes to China to prepare for the Asian C1 semi-final

On May 18, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club (CFC) arrived in Wuhan (China) to prepare for the semi-finals of the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League.

Huynh Nhu and her teammates will face the home team Wuhan Jiangda. The extremely important match of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will take place at 3:00 p.m. on May 21 (Vietnam time).

Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club went to Wuhan with a total of 34 members, including 2 officials, 9 people on the coaching staff and 21 players. In fact, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club's roster is 23 players, but currently there are 2 players in China, namely Thuy Trang and K Thua.

These are the two players who just joined the Vietnamese women's futsal team to participate in the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Finals. The Vietnamese women's team returned home after losing to Japan in the quarter-finals, but Thuy Trang and K Thua will stay to wait to join the Ho Chi Minh City women's club.

Therefore, while waiting to join their teammates, Thuy Trang and K'Thua will practice on their own according to the online training plan of the team's coaching staff. Thereby, to maintain their physical strength and form to have the most positive preparation for the important semi-final match against Wuhan Jiangda. These two players also have to travel from Inner Mongolia to Wuhan.

On paper, the head coach of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club in the AFC Champions League Women's Semi-finals will be Mr. Lu Dinh Tuan. According to AFC regulations, the Organizing Committee requires head coaches to have a Pro certificate, which is the highest level of coaching in the AFC's qualification system.

Coach Kim Chi did not have a certificate, so in the group stage as well as the Quarterfinals, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club appointed Coach Nguyen Hong Pham as Head Coach. However, in this Semifinal round, Coach Hong Pham could not accompany Huynh Nhu and her teammates because of personal work. Meanwhile, Coach Kim Chi will be registered as an assistant coach.
