On the evening of August 26th, a representative from the Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) stated that the Department's professional divisions and the Traffic Police Departments of Bac Ninh, Bac Giang , and Lang Son provinces are continuing to review camera footage along the route to summon drivers involved in the convoy of over 30 large-displacement motorcycles that entered the Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway for questioning.

The representative from the Traffic Police Department also stated that, as of that afternoon, authorities had issued violation reports and temporarily seized vehicles from 14 violators. Additionally, one person and their vehicle were transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department of Lang Giang District Police (Bac Giang province) for investigation into the act of resisting a public official.

The convoy of large-displacement motorcycles was temporarily seized by traffic police.

Earlier that morning, a task force from Highway Traffic Control Team No. 2 (Team 2, Traffic Police Department) consisting of 5 officers and soldiers, led by Major Vu Thanh Tung, was on patrol.

The task force discovered a group of motorcyclists traveling on the highway in the direction of Bac Giang - Lang Son engaging in the act of driving their motorcycles onto the highway, violating traffic safety regulations.

Major Nguyen Ngoc Hoan and the officers and soldiers reported to their superiors and simultaneously implemented a plan to control and intercept the convoy of large-displacement motorcycles.

When Major Vu Thanh Tung signaled the vehicle to stop, a motorcycle with license plate 29A1-159.XX, driven by NVT (born in 2000, residing in Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi ), crashed directly into him, causing Major Tung to be injured.

Recognizing that the incident had criminal implications, the task force apprehended T., documented the incident, took statements from those involved, and coordinated with the Bac Giang Provincial Police to handle the case.

Initial checks revealed that employee T did not have a driver's license or vehicle registration.

By 4 PM the same day, the task force, in coordination with the traffic police of Bac Ninh province, had stopped an additional 4 vehicles.

At the police station, several members of the convoy confessed that at around 6 a.m. that day, the entire group gathered in Long Bien district and set off on a "road trip" towards Lang Son, and the incident occurred when they reached the aforementioned location.

During the escape, several motorcycles crossed the barrier in Tan Hung commune, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province to get off the highway.

During the inspection, several drivers were unable to present their driver's licenses or vehicle registration papers, and one vehicle had no license plate.
