NVIDIA has surpassed Apple to become the world's most valuable company, with a market capitalization of $3.621 trillion. Jensen Huang, who owns 3% of NVIDIA, has benefited significantly from this boom. However, his total assets are now $129 billion, ranking him 11th on the global billionaire rankings.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has cemented his position as the world's richest person thanks to a 29% increase in Tesla shares in 2024, helping his fortune increase by $84.7 billion, reaching a total value of $314 billion.
The wealth gap between Musk and the second-richest person on the list, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, is huge. Bezos is now worth $230 billion, $84 billion less than Musk. This strong growth is a testament to Tesla’s influence in the clean energy and electric vehicle technology sectors.
Why is Jensen Huang not in the top 10 richest people in the world?
Despite earning more money than Elon Musk in 2024, Jensen Huang still did not make it into the top 10 richest people in the world because his total asset value ($129 billion) is lower than other billionaires.

Besides Jensen Huang, other billionaires also recorded notable increases in their fortunes. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, added $80.5 billion to his fortune, bringing his total to $209 billion. Larry Ellison, founder of Oracle, added $79.4 billion to his total fortune of $202 billion.
On the other hand, some billionaires have suffered big losses this year. Bernard Arnault, the head of luxury conglomerate LVMH, lost $35.3 billion, dropping his fortune to $172 billion and dropping him to fifth place in the world. Billionaires such as Carlos Slim, Francoise Bettencourt Meyers and Zhong Shanshan also suffered big losses.
The success of Jensen Huang and other tech billionaires in 2024 underscores the growing role of technology companies in the global economy . Technology is not only changing the way people live and work, but also reshaping the rankings of billionaire wealth.
