In 2025, users can expect a truly affordable MacBook, while the following year, Apple will introduce a major upgrade to the MacBook Pro models with OLED displays. The OLED MacBook Pro version marks a significant leap forward in display technology, with touch support capabilities.

What are the advantages of affordable MacBooks?
Regarding the budget-friendly MacBook version, analyst Ming-chi Kuo stated that it would be the lowest-priced MacBook in Apple's laptop lineup, expected to launch as a basic model positioned below the MacBook Air.
According to previous reports, this affordable MacBook will be equipped with a chip used in iPhones (A-series processor), which could blur the lines between iPads and MacBooks. Kuo added that the A-series-powered MacBook will begin mass production in the fourth quarter of this year and will not support touch. This model may feature the A18 Pro processor, the same chip found in the iPhone 16 Pro models, while the screen size will be around 12.9 inches.

Combining an affordable MacBook with a MacBook Pro featuring an OLED touchscreen, Apple's next generation of computers promises to attract both creative professionals and budget-conscious users.
One point to note is that the A18 Pro chip doesn't support Thunderbolt, so the new MacBook may only come with a standard USB-C port. However, this might not be a major issue for customers looking for an affordable Mac.
