Software and real estate stocks were sold heavily, VN-Index continued to decrease by more than 17 points

NDO - On April 16, the market traded in a divergent manner, causing the main indices to fluctuate slightly in the morning session. In the afternoon session, selling pressure increased sharply, with real estate and software stocks plummeting, causing the VN-Index to lose another 17.49 points, down to 1,210.30 points at the close.

In this session, stocks that had a positive impact on the VN-Index included: VJC, ACB, BHN, SHB, BMP, TPB, HAG, HDB, VND, SSB with an increase of more than 1.2 points. On the contrary, the codes: FPT, VIC, VCB, VHM, GVR, BID, BCM, CTG, MSN, HVN were sold heavily and took away more than 11.7 points from the VN-Index.

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session decreased sharply compared to the previous session, reaching more than 18,026.40 billion VND.

Foreign investors turned to net sell approximately 273 billion VND on HoSE. In terms of buying, VHM shares were bought the most with a value of 208 billion VND, followed by ACB (121 billion VND), VCI (111 billion VND), TCB (48 billion VND)... On the contrary, FPT was sold the most (499 billion VND), followed by HAH (98 billion VND), HCM (72 billion VND), KBC (61 billion VND)...

Today's session, the VN30 stock group closed with 8 stocks increasing and 22 stocks decreasing.

Of which, VJC increased 2.52% to VND85,400/share, TPB increased 1.17%.

Codes: ACB, BVH, HDB, SHB, SSB, VRE increased slightly.

On the other hand, FPT hit the floor at VND107,900/share, BCM fell 5.31% to VND53,500/share, GVR fell 3.69%, VIC fell 3.69%, MSN fell 3.59%, SAB fell 2.26%, PLX fell 1.79%, VHM fell 1.74%, LPB fell 1.51%, CTG fell 1.46%, BID fell 1.37%, VIB fell 1.36%, HPG fell 1.35%, SSI fell 1.29%, VCB fell 1.17%.

The remaining codes, GAS, MBB, MWG, STB, TCB, VNM, VPB decreased slightly.

In terms of industry groups, steel stocks trading in red dominated. Besides HPG mentioned above, HSG decreased by 3.21%, HMC decreased by 1.27%, VCA decreased slightly. On the contrary, SMC unexpectedly increased to the ceiling price of 7,470 VND/share, TLH increased by 1.52%, DTL, NKG stopped at the reference price.

Securities stocks increased slightly in the morning session but were sold off heavily in the afternoon session and closed down 0.98%. Besides SSI mentioned above, ORS decreased by 5.07% to VND7,680/share, FTS decreased by 4.99% to VND39,000/share, VDS decreased by 3.31%, HCM decreased by 3.01%, CTS decreased by 2.71%, BSI decreased by 1.61%, VIX decreased by 1.19%, DSE decreased slightly. On the other hand, APG increased by 1.9%, VND increased by 1.33%, TVB increased by 1.05%, AGR, TVS, VCI increased slightly, TCI stopped at reference.

Banking stocks also fell 0.74% at closing. In addition to the codes: ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, other codes such as: EIB, OCB decreased slightly, MSB stopped at reference, NAB increased slightly.

Real estate stocks traded quite negatively, down 2.18%. Besides the pillar codes: VIC, VHM, BCM mentioned above, KBC, SIP hit the floor, CKG fell 4.35%, D2D fell 3.74%, PTL fell 5.98%, SZC fell 3.9%, VRC fell 4.13%,... On the other hand, NTL, TDH went against the trend to hit the ceiling, DTA increased 6.44%, LDG increased 4.57%,...

Notably, the software stock group fell the deepest in the market, losing 6.91% due to the sell-off of pillar codes FPT and CMG.

Other industry groups such as: transportation decreased by 1.43%, production materials decreased by 1.13%, food-beverage and tobacco decreased by 1.14%, distribution and retail of durable goods decreased by 1.48%, telecommunications decreased by 1%, raw materials decreased by 1.36%, consumer goods and decoration, energy, and health care decreased slightly.

On the contrary, insurance and utility stocks closed in light green.

* The Vietnamese stock market index fell sharply in the afternoon session today, VNXALL-Index closed down 26.55 points (-1.32%), down to 1,989.04 points. Liquidity with trading volume reached 786.42 million units, equivalent to trading value of VND 19,545.10 billion. In the whole market, there were 146 stocks increasing in price, 69 stocks remaining unchanged and 240 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 209.41 points, down 0.83% (-0.40%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 53.15 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND912,393 billion. The entire floor had 69 stocks increasing, 52 stocks remaining unchanged and 101 stocks decreasing.

The HNX30 index closed down 1.30 points (-0.31%) to 411.28 points. Trading volume reached about 37.37 million units, with a corresponding value of more than VND749,782 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 8 stocks increasing, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 18 stocks decreasing.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index decreased, closing at 90.39 points, down 0.64 points (-0.70%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 30.91 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 360.18 billion VND. The UPCoM group of stocks ended the trading day with 118 stocks increasing, 96 stocks remaining unchanged and 176 stocks decreasing.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 17.49 points (-1.42%) to 1,210.30 points. Liquidity reached over 817.56 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND19,430.30 billion. The entire floor had 153 stocks increasing, 55 stocks remaining unchanged and 319 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 17.51 ​​points (-1.34%) to 1,293.25 points. Liquidity reached more than 308.18 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND10,394.91 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 8 stocks increasing, 0 stocks remaining unchanged and 22 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are SHB (over 44.58 million units), VIX (over 30.52 million units), HPG (over 25.70 million units), MBB (over 21.89 million units), KBC (over 21.08 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase were BHN (7.00%), AAM (6.97%), SMC (6.87%), YEG (6.82%), SVI (6.79%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price decrease were FPT (-6.98%), SIP (-6.85%), KBC (-6.79%), TN1 (-6.73%), FMC (-6.67%).
