Phu Tho: Strengthening management of tourism activities during holidays and peak summer tourism season 2025

Implementing Document No. 782/CDLQGVN-VP dated April 18, 2025 of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism on preparing conditions to serve tourists during the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the peak summer tourist season in 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho issued Document No. 448/SVHTTDL-QLDL directing the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to strengthen the management of tourism activities, ensure security, safety and improve the quality of services for tourists.

Accordingly, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism recommends that localities proactively organize rich and attractive cultural and tourism activities to attract tourists during holidays and summer. Tourist areas, destinations, and service businesses need to continue to effectively implement the contents of Document No. 159/SVHTTDL-QLDL dated February 28, 2025, while improving the quality of products and services, introducing new tourism products with the characteristics of the Ancestral Land. In particular, activities need to be associated with the Tourism Stimulus Program "Phu Tho - Go to Love" and strictly implement the direction in Official Dispatch No. 34/CD-TTg dated April 10, 2025 of the Prime Minister on promoting tourism development, contributing to achieving the target of double-digit economic growth.

The Department also emphasized the requirement to ensure absolute security and safety for tourists, especially in areas and locations with water recreation and entertainment activities. Units are not allowed to use vehicles that do not meet safety conditions to serve tourists . In addition, it is necessary to publicly post prices at reception points, in visible places, and sell at the right price to protect consumer rights and create a healthy and civilized tourism environment.

In the context of strong development of online tourism, the Department requires to strengthen propaganda to raise awareness of tourists and businesses in preventing and combating fraudulent acts in the online environment. At the same time, closely coordinate with functional forces to organize reasonable traffic flow, prevent accidents, congestion, and create favorable conditions for tourists to access tourist attractions.

Inspection, examination and control of service quality will also be tightened during this time. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Inspectorate will coordinate with relevant agencies to grasp the actual situation, promptly handle arising incidents, especially violations of security, safety and poor quality services, thereby contributing to enhancing the image of Phu Tho as a friendly, attractive and safe destination.
