The exhibition takes viewers back to their childhood, where village gates, hamlet gates, rural roofs, stone bridges across canals with women in traditional four-panel dresses walking, singers in traditional three-piece seven-piece dresses on village festival mats, and herds of buffaloes and shepherds leisurely on village roads... Journalist Nguyen Trong Chuc commented: "The most noticeable thing in Coi An Thuong is the coherent continuation of many themes that painter Nguyen Hoai Huong has pursued for many years, along with many lotus flowers and lotus leaves, " Still know my heart is the scent of young rice/I don't know whose hand made the lotus leaves " (poem by Nguyen Sa). That is the "Vietnamese space" that has been pervasive in Hoai Huong's paintings since the beginning...".
Researcher Ngo Kim Khoi enjoys exploring the works at the exhibition.
Painter Nguyen Hoai Huong was born in 1956 in Hai Phong . Although he graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts in 1986, the artist was destined for traditional lacquer. He has had many successful exhibitions both domestically and internationally, and is one of the quartet of painters, including Nguyen Thanh Binh, Nguyen Trung Tin, Nguyen Hoai Huong, and Do Hoang Tuong - faces highly appreciated by the art world for their creative ideas and unique, rich color combinations in their compositions.
