Police investigate hospital for creating 20 fake medical records, request insurance to review

Thanh Hoa Provincial Police determined that in four years, Thanh Hoa General Hospital (now Hac Thanh General Hospital) had created 20 fake medical records in different departments and rooms.

On July 16, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said they were investigating a case of "fraudulent appropriation of property" and "abuse of position and power while performing official duties" that occurred in 2024 at Thanh Hoa General Hospital (now Hac Thanh General Hospital).

Initial investigation results determined that from 2021 to 2024, Hac Thanh General Hospital created 20 fake medical records in different departments and rooms.

To serve the investigation requirements, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Investigation Agency publicly disclosed a list of 20 related medical records.

At the same time, the provincial police asked life insurance companies to review and compare the patients on the above list.

If there is a case requesting payment of insurance benefits, the units send information and payment request documents to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Headquarters, No. 15A Hac Thanh Street, Hac Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa Province.
