The captain of Hanoi Police also revealed that, besides his expertise, he also spends time researching valuable documents about Vietnam as well as the tradition of the police force. He wants to use football to bring joy and pride to fans.
Midfielder Quang Hai also expressed his desire to win the National Super Cup to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security tradition: "Although the team leaders did not put pressure on me, my teammates and I are determined to compete and win to welcome the memorable holiday of the Public Security sector."
On the other side, coach Vu Hong Viet also said: “We have had two training trips in Phu Yen and Korea in the recent period. The players have performed very well in terms of physical strength, tactics and spirit. It can be affirmed that the whole team is very ready for the upcoming match.
We have added quality new players such as A Mit, Dang Van Toi, Njabulo Blom, Kyle Hudlin and Mahmoud Eid. However, I cannot reveal who will play in the Super Cup match against Hanoi Police yet."
Captain Nguyen Manh recalled the defeat last season against his opponent and considered it a valuable lesson: “Hanoi Police is a strong opponent and has many quality additions. The 0-3 loss at Thien Truong Stadium last season was an opportunity for us to reflect, learn from experience and overcome shortcomings.
We were more determined to come back stronger with an impressive series of matches and win the championship at the end of the season. Therefore, we are confident going into the National Super Cup to successfully defend the title."
In the previous season, Nam Dinh Blue Steel defeated Dong A Thanh Hoa 3-0 to win the 2023-2024 National Super Cup. Now, the team from Thanh Nam will enter the match with the goal of keeping the cup in Thien Truong. Meanwhile, Hanoi Police are also ready to do everything to bring the title to the capital.
