Representatives of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police leaders and officers and soldiers transport food to support isolated people.
More dangerously, at some locations, rising river water has washed away 2/3 of the road width, creating extremely dangerous chasms.
Faced with this situation, on the afternoon of August 27, the Provincial Police Director directed the establishment of a rescue team of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police to transport more than 1 ton of food, including bread, canned meat, sausages, dry food and drinking water to help people in isolated villages.
Together with local forces, the Provincial Police mobilized more than 100 officers and soldiers to urgently march and approach the area severely damaged by landslides in Yen Nhan commune.
Traffic was disrupted, so officers and soldiers walked from the commune center to deliver essential supplies to the people. The soldiers carried the boxes on their shoulders, bringing love to the people.
Comrade Quach The Thuan, Chairman of Yen Nhan Commune People's Committee, said: Up to now, in Yen Nhan commune, there are still 3 isolated villages with 520 households and nearly 2,500 people.
