Hanoi City Police met with outstanding artists on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day.

The meeting and discussion gathered more than 50 artists, managers, directors, musicians, writers, painters, actors, journalists... representing the creative arts and media fields of the capital.

Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, affirmed that throughout the process of construction and development, along with the task of maintaining political security and social order and safety, the Capital Police force always considers culture as the spiritual foundation, the soft power to protect the peace of the Capital. In the context of the era of strong technological development, information spreads at a rapid speed, the cultural - ideological front plays an increasingly important role.

“The group of artists is the force that contributes to maintaining faith, preserving the beauty of the soul, spreading humanistic and positive values in society. The digital age opens up great opportunities for spreading beauty, but at the same time, it also requires people working in culture and art to have courage, responsibility and alertness. The companionship between the police force and the capital's artists is the foundation for coordination to preserve a healthy cultural environment, protect the Party's ideological foundation, the good values of the nation and the civilized and elegant lifestyle of Hanoians ,” said Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long.

In addition, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long also emphasized that in the digital age, the task of protecting security and order is not only limited to real life but also extends to cyberspace - where cultural values, ideology, and public beliefs can be violated if there is a lack of direction. Therefore, the Capital Police determined that it is necessary to work more closely with intellectuals and artists, together creating a "soft fence" of culture, ethics, and beauty.

From a practical perspective, the Deputy Director of the City Police said that over the years, the Hanoi City Police have always attached importance to coordinating propaganda, artistic creation, organizing campaigns, cultural and artistic festivals, seminars, and exchanges with artists. Many literary, musical , cinematic, and theatrical works by artists in the capital have contributed to honoring the image of the People's Police soldiers, spreading the spirit of "Serving the People".

The highlight of the meeting was a three-theme panel discussion with prestigious speakers, bringing multi-dimensional perspectives and deep emotions.

Topic 1 “Artists - creators of value in the context of information chaos” had the participation of writer Nguyen Ngoc Tien, poet - journalist Huu Viet and People's Artist Tu Long. The speakers agreed that, in the era of social networks and virtual information, artists must maintain their personality and create with intelligence and compassion.

Writer Nguyen Ngoc Tien affirmed: “Human values, love and kindness are the bright spots that help people regain faith”. People’s Artist Tu Long shared that technology can help spread art, but true emotions and national identity are the soul of the artist.

Topic 2 delves into the relationship between art and ideological security, between creativity and responsibility. Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, People's Artist Quoc Hung and Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long discuss the challenges of art in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu expressed: "Machines can simulate creativity, but cannot replace the human heart". People's Artist Quoc Hung believes that technology brings opportunities for classical music to reach young audiences, but artists must maintain "beauty, truth and nobility".

Topic 3 "Accompanying the Police force on the cultural and ideological front" shared by People's Artist Nguyen Trung Hieu and Director Dang Le Minh Tri, focusing on the spirit of creative participation. People's Artist Nguyen Trung Hieu proposed the need to innovate the way of telling stories about the People's Police soldiers, not only portraying the fighting image but also expressing the depth of the soul and humanity. Director Dang Le Minh Tri stated his opinion: "Art associated with the Police force needs a new, more genuine, closer and more accessible way to reach young people, through multi-platform creative cooperation between artists - police - media".

The event is not only a meaningful meeting but also a call to action, so that each artist continues to create, each police officer continues to accompany culture and art on the ideological front, together building a peaceful - humane - progressive capital.
