Recently, the situation of luring, manipulating, defrauding, and human trafficking through cyberspace targeting teenagers (generally called "online kidnapping") is still complicated. Many teenagers, including students, are not fully aware of online risks, sophisticated methods and tricks of criminals, are easily manipulated by criminals, self-isolate, do not share, do not promptly report to family, school and authorities when contacted or influenced by criminals...
This situation poses an urgent need to mobilize community strength and media strength to raise awareness among teenagers, parents, teachers and the whole society about this situation and join hands to help and protect teenagers from online threats.

Responding to the Hanoi Convention, the Ministry of Public Security, together with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Ministry of Education and Training , the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, sponsored the Digital Trust Alliance (a collaborative initiative of the community of influencers on cyberspace and agencies,
(related organizations) together with the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control, the National Cyber Security Association launched a nationwide campaign to promote the whole society and cross-border efforts against “online kidnapping” activities, called “Not alone - Together online safety”. The campaign will directly communicate to 12 million teenagers (aged 12 - 24), expanding to 22 million students nationwide, who are the targets of child kidnapping and luring activities in cyberspace.

In Hue City, the campaign was launched with a seminar and a question-and-answer contest to help students proactively acquire knowledge and improve their ability to identify and respond to cybercrime tricks such as fraud and "online kidnapping"...

Speaking at the campaign launch ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trong Hung, Deputy Head of the Cyber Security Department of Hue City Police, emphasized the importance of inter-sectoral coordination and proposed assigning specific tasks to each unit to ensure the campaign is effective and widespread. In particular, the police agency will build a database on methods and tricks of cybercrimes to promptly transfer to agencies, units and schools. Schools need to establish a coordination mechanism to promptly handle when detecting students being abused in cyberspace, enhance training in cybercrime identification skills, integrate these contents into the curriculum, extracurricular activities and class activities...
