Ho Chi Minh City police launch "Tree Planting Festival to Forever Remember Uncle Ho"

At the Vo Thi Sau Heroic Martyr Memorial House (Dat Do commune), the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department organized the launching ceremony of the "Tree Planting Festival to Forever Remember Uncle Ho" for the Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026. Lieutenant General Mai Hoang, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, attended the ceremony.

Here, the delegation offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic martyr Vo Thi Sau.

Lieutenant General Mai Hoang participated in tree planting in Dat Do commune.

Following the memorial ceremony, the delegation planted two new shade trees in the memorial house grounds; and also presented rosewood saplings to the police departments of the following localities: Dat Do, Phuoc Hai, Long Dien, Long Hai, Ba Ria, Tam Long, Long Huong, Ho Tram, and Vo Thi Sau High School.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Ta Van Dep, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, urged units to understand the significance of the movement and link tree planting with the responsibility of long-term care and protection.

Immediately after the city-level launch ceremony, participating locations simultaneously launched campaigns to plant and care for trees in the grounds of their agencies and units.

At location number 8 – Phu My Fire and Rescue Team Headquarters (Fire and Rescue Team Area 30, PC07 Department), Lieutenant Colonel Phan Huy Van, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, attended the event. Officers and soldiers planted many oil palm trees in the unit's grounds.

At the same time, at location number 9 – Headquarters of the Firefighting and Rescue Team Area 32 (PC07 Department), Colonel Tran Van Hieu, Head of PC07 Department, presided over the ceremony to respond to the event.

Here, dozens of star trees, oil trees, and sandalwood trees have been newly planted, arranged to suit the soil and ensure aesthetic appeal. The officers and soldiers of the unit are committed to caring for and monitoring the growth of the trees, considering this a project linked to the emulation movement in 2026.

The "Tree Planting Festival" series of activities is being implemented throughout the Ho Chi Minh City Police force, contributing to environmental protection and building a sustainably developing city.
