Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Cong Quoc - Chairman of Binh Nam Commune People's Committee said that the planning scale of Binh Nam commune includes the entire natural area within the commune's administrative boundary of 25.79 km2 with 6 villages: Thai Dong, Tich Yen, Dong Tac, Nghia Hoa, Phuong Tan, Vinh Giang.
The planning boundary of Binh Nam commune borders Binh Sa, Binh Trung, Binh Hai communes to the north; the East Sea to the east; Binh An commune to the west; Tam Thang and Tam Thanh communes (Tam Ky city) to the south.
The goal of the planning is to focus on construction, creating a breakthrough in the economic - social infrastructure system, synchronously developing relatively modern technical infrastructure in the direction of urbanization, linking agricultural development with industry and services, and preserving the cultural identity of the countryside and community culture.
Exploit resources rationally, build a commune that develops comprehensively, sustainably and keeps up with the times. Shift the economic structure in accordance with the strengths and general development direction of the district and the province.
Mr. Truong Cong Son - Vice Chairman of Thang Binh District People's Committee said that with nearly 80% of the commune's area belonging to the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, Binh Nam is an area with great potential for economic development with the main orientation being high-tech agriculture - industry - trade and tourism services. This area contributes to supporting economic development, shifting the economic structure and labor structure for the whole district.
To achieve the above goals, Mr. Truong Cong Son requested Binh Nam commune to research and develop a detailed and scientific plan to implement the commune planning, in accordance with the resources and practical conditions of the locality.
Deploy detailed plans to specify goals, tasks and solutions, ensuring connectivity, synchronization, efficiency and sustainable development with a long-term vision.
Communes need to announce and widely publicize planning, promote and advertise to attract social resources; especially create favorable conditions for people to exercise their right to supervise the implementation of planning.
Propaganda to let people know the important role of the commune's development planning orientation so that people can grasp and create high consensus among the people, thereby the work of site clearance to implement the project is responded to by the people.
