On August 1, the General Statistics Office held a conference to announce the decision of the Director of the General Statistics Office on the work of statistical staff in Vinh Long province.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Tien - Deputy Director of the General Statistics Office chaired the conference. Mr. Dang Van Chinh - Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province attended the conference.

At the conference, the General Statistics Office announced the decision to accept and appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Toan - Director of the General Statistics Office of Dong Thap province (old) to hold the position of Chief of Statistics, Statistics of Vinh Long province. At the same time, 4 decisions were awarded to accept and appoint for a term the position of Deputy Director of Statistics, Statistics of Vinh Long province to Ms. Pham Thi Loan - Deputy Director of the General Statistics Office of Tra Vinh province (old); Mr. Le Thanh Nam - Deputy Director in charge, General Statistics Office of Tra Vinh province (old); Ms. Le Thi Minh - Deputy Director of the General Statistics Office of Ben Tre province (old); Mr. Tran Chanh Thanh - Deputy Director of the General Statistics Office of Vinh Long province (old). The decisions take effect from July 1, 2025.
Speaking at the assignment, Mr. Nguyen Trung Tien - Deputy Director of the General Statistics Office congratulated the leadership of Vinh Long Provincial Statistics. He requested the sector to quickly stabilize the organization; perform well the work of organizing staff, managing finance and assets; together promote the spirit of solidarity and support each other to complete the task well; constantly improve professional qualifications and skills in using information technology, contributing to improving the quality of statistical products in the area under their responsibility.
