Announcement of the decision to establish the Market Management Department and decisions on personnel work

Authorized by the Provincial People's Committee, the representative of the Soc Trang Department of Industry and Trade announced Decision No. 1071/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Soc Trang Provincial Market Management Department under the Soc Trang Department of Industry and Trade on the basis of receiving the original status of the Soc Trang Provincial Market Management Department from the Ministry of Industry and Trade .

The Market Management Department has the function of state management and law enforcement on prevention, combat and handling of acts of trading in smuggled goods; production and trade of counterfeit goods, prohibited goods, goods of unknown origin; acts of infringement of intellectual property rights; acts of violation of laws on quality, measurement, price, food safety and commercial fraud; acts of violation of laws on protection of consumer rights; acts of commercial fraud as prescribed in Soc Trang province and other functions as prescribed by law.

At the ceremony, the Department of Industry and Trade of Soc Trang also announced decisions on the reception and appointment of civil servants to leadership and management positions for the following comrades: Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Director of the Department of Market Management to hold the position of Director of the Department of Market Management; Pham Van Vong, Nguyen Van Banh, Huynh Thuy Nhien, all Deputy Directors of the Department of Market Management to hold the position of Deputy Directors of the Department of Market Management. The term of appointment for the above positions is 5 years. In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade announced decisions on the reception and appointment of civil servants to leadership and management positions for the departments and teams under the Department of Market Management.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Thanh Son - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade requested that the Market Management Department continue to promote the results achieved in the past time, at the same time strive to overcome difficulties, rearrange the internal organization in a streamlined direction to operate more effectively and efficiently. Coordinate with agencies and units to implement plans and topics in 2025, focusing on the fight against counterfeit goods, banned goods, trade fraud... in the spirit of the Prime Minister 's direction, contributing to protecting the health, legitimate and legal interests of people and business households and enterprises.
