(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the morning of August 24, at Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School (Hac Thanh Ward), the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa coordinated with the International STEM Association (ISA) Joint Stock Company to organize a workshop on teaching and learning STEM for cultural officers of communes and wards, officers and teachers in charge of STEM-related subjects of schools.

At the workshop, Prof. Dr. Le Phuoc Hung - a scholar and international education manager with over 30 years of experience in the United States, introduced the core goals of STEM; compared the differences between interdisciplinary education methods and traditional teaching methods. At the same time, he guided teachers to organize direct STEM teaching sessions for students through building a STEM teaching design process, turning knowledge in textbooks into STEM activities and introducing STEM implementation models...

In addition, delegates attending the workshop also shared experiences in implementing STEM in the world and how to apply it appropriately to the conditions of high schools in Vietnam; shared about the role of teachers in teaching STEM and the skills that need to be trained for students.

Within the framework of the program, Prof. Dr. Le Phuoc Hung also answered questions about STEM; introduced ISA's services and the company's long-term development strategy.
