Google mocks Apple in new Pixel 10 ad
In a 30-second commercial that appeared on YouTube and X, Google did not hesitate to mock Apple for delaying the upgrade of Siri with integrated artificial intelligence, which was promised to appear on the iPhone 16.
Last year, Apple launched the iPhone 16 with the promise of improved Siri powered by Apple Intelligence technology. However, that update has yet to be released, forcing Apple to withdraw its promotional video.

“If you buy a new phone because of a ‘coming soon’ feature, but you wait a year and it still doesn’t arrive, why not just switch?” Google clearly calls on users to switch to the Pixel 10.
According to Bloomberg, Apple software chief Craig Federighi said Siri’s development is struggling because Apple wants to combine both on-device and cloud computing models. Despite the obstacles, he confirmed that Apple is planning a Siri upgrade that is “bigger than originally planned.”
Lyft Teams Up with Baidu to Bring Self-Driving Cars to Europe
In a major move, US ride-hailing company Lyft has announced a partnership with China's Baidu to bring its sixth-generation Apollo Go robotaxi to Europe next year, the company announced in a statement.
Lyft will launch self-driving car services in Germany and the United Kingdom via the Lyft app, subject to licensing. Lyft's recent acquisition of the FREENOW taxi app from BMW and Mercedes Benz for about $200 million also expands the company's reach to 180 cities in Europe.

Baidu, through its social network X, said it plans to expand its robotaxi fleet to thousands across Europe in the next few years. Baidu has previously signed a deal with Uber to test self-driving cars in the Middle East and Asia.
Lyft prioritized Germany and the UK because FREENOW already had a presence there and had built strong relationships with local regulators. This is part of Lyft’s growth strategy to strengthen its position in Europe, where it had little to no presence before.
Brazilian tech company director dies while skydiving
Thomas Britis, a 44-year-old CEO of a telecommunications company in Brazil, died after a mid-air collision while skydiving with a friend at the Boituva National Parachute Center in São Paulo state.
While jumping out of the plane, Britis was unfortunately hit in the head by his friend's knee while they were both in mid-air. Although both parachutes deployed, Britis lost control and fell into a field far from the designated landing zone.
Immediately after the accident, Britis was rushed to São Luis Hospital, but he died due to serious injuries.
Boituva city officials said all national and international safety standards were followed, and factors such as weather, equipment, and jumping conditions were being closely examined. Helmets and two parachutes were confiscated for investigation.
