On August 28, Mr. Nguyen Huu Luat, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City confirmed that the unit had just considered and recognized the graduation of Dinh Xuan H. (born in 2007, residing in Tan Tien Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City). H. is a student of Lac Long Quan Secondary School, has completed grade 9 but has no records at the school.

According to Mr. Luat, the recognition of H.'s 9th grade graduation was carried out under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Department of Education and Training, and with the support of the Center for Supporting the Development of InclusiveEducation for Children with Disabilities in Dak Lak Province and related departments and offices.

Previously, in the 2019-2020 school year, Dinh Xuan H.'s family submitted an application for him to study in grade 6 at Lac Long Quan Secondary School. Based on the application, he was admitted and was placed in class 6D by the school.

At the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, H. was assigned by the school to repeat class 6D (remain in the same grade). At this time, Mr. Dinh Xuan V. (father of Dinh Xuan H.) submitted a request to the school to allow his child to move up to class 7D with the reason of wanting his child to integrate into the community. In the request, the parents stated that H. had autism.

At this time, Mr. Phan Thanh Thuy, the school principal, agreed to let H. study in class 7D to integrate into the community and did not require testing, evaluation, or educational classification for this student according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

After that, H. continued to study in grades 8 and 9 without educational assessment records for grades 7, 8 and 9, so he was not recognized as graduating from junior high school.

When she learned that her son had finished 9th grade but did not have a record of his academic results, Ms. Nguyen Thi H. (living in Buon Ma Thuot City) submitted a request to the authorities to request recognition of her son's junior high school graduation. After a period of research, with the guidance of the authorities, the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City recognized this male student as a junior high school graduate.

After H. was recognized as a junior high school graduate, her family applied for her to enter a college in Dak Lak so that she could both study general education and learn a trade.

Dak Lak Department of Education and Training has just issued a document confirming that there is no basis to consider recognizing junior high school graduation for a male student who finished grade 9 but did not have a study record.
