Cong Tri honors the beauty of Lanh My A silk in the new collection

Fashion designer Cong Tri launched the "Lanh My A Capsule Collection", to introduce and honor the beauty of Lanh My A silk, a rare black silk from Tan Chau village, An Giang. The collection includes 25 designs.

Lanh My A is the embodiment of meticulousness and patience in the art of craftsmanship.

The shiny black color is created from an elaborate manual dyeing process using Tan Chau's endemic mac nua fruit.

After months of soaking, drying and gently beating, the silk achieves perfect color absorption thanks to the master craftsman's skills. The finished product is a durable material that increases in shine with use, creating a unique beauty imbued with Vietnamese identity.

The "Lanh My A Capsule Collection" is a fusion of traditional Lanh My A materials and modern design techniques. The main silhouettes include oversized bombers, blazers, long coats, loose dresses and A-line skirts.

The designs stand out with the application of the house's signature techniques such as running laces and weaving, to create unique depth and texture for each outfit.

The collection uses Lanh My A silk, exploiting the natural characteristics of this material including its drape and black color. This contributes to shaping soft and graceful shapes.

The collection represents a combination of traditional hand-weaving techniques and contemporary design thinking. The Lanh My A material appeared in the "Rice" collection at Tokyo Fashion Week 2016.

Up to now, Cong Tri fashion house has always strived to bring Lanh My A silk material to the world.
