Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company: Effectiveness from the 1 Million Initiatives Program

(Quang Ngai Newspaper) - Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company ( BSR ), the unit managing and operating Dung Quat Oil Refinery, has actively responded to and implemented the program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Over the past 2 years, BSR has organized and implemented the program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic" at BSR, which has brought about practical results. The company's leadership has always set an example and actively participated in and accompanied the program with resources, technical support, policies and incentives to effectively encourage all efforts of BSR employees. At the end of phase 1 of the program, BSR had 383 successfully registered initiatives, ranking first in the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN).

At the end of phase 2, BSR had a total of 1,417 initiatives, reaching 730.4% of the entire program target, ranking first in PVN, contributing to exceeding the set target of 7,085/5,400 initiatives participating in the program of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union.

According to BSR leaders, the initiatives by BSR staff, engineers, and workers all come from practical problems in the production process; from passion for work with a spirit of love for the profession and love for work. Many diverse initiatives in areas such as technology, engineering, and prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic. Among them, there are many initiatives that are highly adaptable to the context of the new normal state , economic recovery; promptly meeting the new requirements and demands of BSR's production and business. The total value of benefits from the initiatives of BSR workers participating in the program is estimated at about 700 billion VND. Thereby, contributing to ensuring that Dung Quat Refinery always operates safely, stably and effectively, improving competitiveness and creating momentum for BSR's development.

Timely recognizing, praising and rewarding collectives and individuals with many outstanding initiatives participating in the program, BSR Trade Union and the government have organized meaningful honor and reward programs and organized study tours to learn about work experience and production models at home and abroad for workers. In the recent period, more than 200 typical advanced examples in the movement of good workers and creative workers have been commended and rewarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , PVN, Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union and BSR, with the bonus amount for initiatives (period 2021 - 2023) of nearly 3 billion VND. This is also an encouragement, motivation and motivation for workers to continue to contribute good initiatives and ideas to the strong development of BSR.
