The song "Rockstar" marked her first release after founding her own record label - Loud Company and received much anticipation for her debut as a global pop artist.
In "Rockstar," Lisa shows off a bold transformation. The music video, shot in her native Thailand, quickly surpassed 100 million views, highlighting her global influence.
Korean media reported that Lisa paid a significant amount of money to local night market vendors for filming, which added to her buzz when the MV was released.
However, Lisa's solo journey encountered obstacles with accusations of plagiarism related to the MV "Rockstar".
Gabriel Moses, a video director and producer, recently posted on his social media account, comparing Travis Scott's "FE!N" music video, which he directed, to a scene from Lisa's "Rockstar" video.
"They (Lisa's team) contacted my editor about this video . My editor said no, but they went ahead and made it anyway," he claimed.
The similarities between "FE!N" released last July and "Rockstar" released this June prompted Gabriel Moses to ask Lisa's team to make an official statement by the end of July.
Thai media, which had warmly welcomed Lisa's new single, also spoke out about the plagiarism accusation.
Thai publication Khaosod reported: "Lisa's 'Rockstar' was accused of plagiarizing Travis Scott's music video for 'FE!N', directed by Gabriel Moses. Comparing Moses' video to 'Rockstar', it looks like a copy."
With the original director asking for a response to the plagiarism allegations, all eyes are on Lisa's team to see if the idol's agency will give an official response?
