Mining Company: Applying modern technology in production

Moong -200, seam 13-1, Dong Da Mai Mine, Mineral Exploitation Company, Army Corps 19 has an output of about 1.5 million tons/year.

In early 2025, the -200 mine, seam 13-1 of Dong Da Mai mine continued to be expanded and put into operation. This is the mine with the deepest mining stratum since the mine came into operation until now, the scale of concentrated mining reached a reserve of about 60% of the mine's capacity for an output of about 1.5 million tons/year. Currently, the mine has been exploited down to level -200, the Company continues to arrange to mobilize 6 excavator lines with about 80 trucks with a capacity of 60 tons to perform with a frequency of 3 shifts/day and night.

According to Major Ta Quang Khanh, Manager of Construction Site 1, Mineral Exploitation Company (Army Corps 19),   To achieve the production targets and directions of the Party Committee and the Company's Command, Site 1 has mobilized all key machinery, equipment and workers to ensure 3 shifts to focus on exploiting the maximum potential of Moong-200. It is expected that the site will achieve the exploitation progress according to the plan registered with the Company, in order to create momentum to complete the production plan for 2025.

Implementing the direction and production plan assigned by superiors, and at the same time aiming for the Company's Party Congress for the term 2025-2030, from the first days of the year, the Mineral Exploitation Company has launched emulation movements to win with the theme "Democracy, solidarity, discipline, creativity, victory" and the breakthrough goal of "Development, safety, efficiency". The company applies many modern techniques such as: Improving the deep processing washing line to improve the grade and quality of coal; successfully putting into use the engine air filter dust blower to ensure the health of workers, limit the impact on the environment, increase labor productivity; regularly arranging a team of skilled and experienced workers ready to handle and repair vehicles from simple to complex.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thanh Cong, Manager of Workshop 4, Mineral Exploitation Company (Army Corps 19) said: In open-pit mining, vehicle and machine equipment are crucial to the success of the mining operation. Workshop 4 currently manages and repairs nearly 200 pieces of equipment, including many highly skilled workers who can master almost all stages of repairing all types of equipment of the unit, ensuring that the unit's mining tasks are met.

By applying modern technology, on average, each year, the Company excavates nearly 35 million tons of soil and rock, exploiting about 1.8 million tons of raw coal. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, the Company has completed over 30% of the year's output plan, excavating 8.1 million m3 of soil and rock, reaching 25% of the year's plan; equipment productivity reaches 108-115%. Implementing mechanization of all production according to the goal of "modern mines, mines with few people".

Agencies and units in the Company closely follow the general goal and focus on 3 breakthroughs: "Applying new technology, digital technology platform to production and business and management and operation"; "Promoting technical innovation initiatives, improving labor productivity, building civilized collective housing areas"... The Company strives to increase labor productivity and average vehicle and equipment productivity by 3-5%; continue to invest in equipment to increase labor productivity by 8-10% during the term; increase workers' income by 3-5%; maintain effective, stable and sustainable production and business activities, and strive to exceed the 2025 plan targets.
