Dong Nai proposes to add 1 passenger station on the North-South high-speed railway route through the province

According to the consulting unit, the North-South High-Speed ​​Railway Project has a total length of more than 1,500 km, passing through 20 provinces and cities with a total investment of more than 67 billion USD. In terms of technology, the North-South High-Speed ​​Railway Project invests in the form of high-speed railway running on rails, operating passenger transport and can operate freight transport when necessary. The design speed of the project is 350 km/h, operating speed is 320 km/h. The route will have 23 passenger stations, potential stations, 5 freight stations, 9 depots (5 passenger depots and 4 freight depots), and 45 maintenance stations.

The North-South high-speed railway section through Dong Nai province is nearly 82km long, passing through the districts of Xuan Loc, Cam My, Long Thanh, Nhon Trach and Long Khanh city. In Dong Nai province, there will be 1 passenger terminal in the area of ​​Long Thanh International Airport, 1 cargo terminal in Quang Tien commune, Trang Bom district and 2 maintenance stations located in Lang Minh commune, Xuan Loc district and Cam Duong commune, Long Thanh district.

To implement the project, Dong Nai province will reclaim about 490 hectares of land with an implementation cost of nearly 11.7 trillion VND.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha requested the consulting unit to provide specific data on site clearance work for localities so that localities can review, synthesize and plan for implementation. Regarding the arrangement of passenger terminals on the route through the province, the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee requested the consulting unit to consider and add to the project dossier an additional passenger terminal in Xuan Loc district to create favorable conditions for the province in socio -economic development.
