Mr. Wyeren Yap, General Director of the Southern Region of CapitaLand Development Vietnam, shared that Binh Duong is the leading locality in the country in attracting foreign investment thanks to its favorable investment environment and modern infrastructure. In particular, Binh Duong New City, with its smart urban development plan and modern infrastructure, has become an ideal "home" for international residents.
With a high urbanization rate, Binh Duong has more potential and opportunities to make a breakthrough in the development of trade and services, in which Binh Duong New City is the core. In recent years, Binh Duong has recorded impressive figures in the development of cultural and entertainment infrastructure. A typical example is the WTC EXPO International Exhibition Center. This is a complex space in terms of functions, diverse in types of services, full of amenities, becoming an ideal destination for business, cultural and community activities. |

After nearly 30 years of attracting investment and developing industry, Binh Duong has achieved many successes, in which attracting foreign investment is always in the top of the country. However, according to experts, for sustainable development, Binh Duong needs to develop services and urban areas with many large projects. According to Dr. Mai Huu Tin, Chairman of Binh Duong Business Federation, with large domestic and foreign retailers already present in the province, ready to invest according to the population growth in emerging areas, Binh Duong's trade and services are increasingly prosperous. The provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, has been very well established when next to industrial parks or right in industrial parks, there are urban and service areas, including not only trade but alsoeducation and health.
“The better Binh Duong does at attracting and providing these services, the more it will attract people and experts to Binh Duong to settle down, creating an increasingly stronger cycle of consumption. Every big city starts like that. There must be people coming, even if they are poor and have jobs, so that their income will gradually increase and they will become consumers from low to high levels,” Dr. Mai Huu Tin emphasized.
Currently, many potential investors are looking forward to cooperating with Binh Duong to develop civilized and modern urban areas. Specifically, Daewoo Group (Korea) is researching and surveying the market for real estate development projects, potential urban areas and looking for the possibilities of investing in the fields of construction, infrastructure development and transportation in the province. Or Tokyu Group (Japan) also expressed its desire to invest in developing a light rail line (LRT) in Binh Duong to serve the development of Metro lines No. 1 and No. 2 of the province in the future.
Binh Duong is transforming strongly with a modern urban appearance, thanks to synchronous investment in transport infrastructure and trade and services. In particular, the A1 Roundabout complex (WTC Gateway) being deployed in Binh Duong New City is expected to attract more investment, business and technology capital to Binh Duong. With an area of 168,000m2, WTC Gateway includes a shopping center, a cultural - artistic - sports center, and an exhibition center. This is also the first urban development model near the public transport axis (TOD) of Binh Duong, with a total area of about 7 hectares, with a central station connecting to Thu Duc City and the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro line of Ho Chi Minh City. These key international projects are not only architectural highlights, but also contribute to elevating the urban area and enhancing the province's competitive advantage.
Currently, in Binh Duong, there are large shopping mall systems such as Aeon, Central Retail, Mega Market, Lotte, Saigon Co.op, Vincom... Of which, Aeon Mall Binh Duong Canary (Thuan An City), opened in 2014, is deployed on a land area of about 62,000m2. In 2023, Becamex Tokyu joined hands with the "giant" Aeon Vietnam to continue developing the second Aeon supermarket and has come into operation in Binh Duong New City. |
