In the flow of integration and constant modernization, TREND 26+ - the first trend publication dedicated to the Vietnamese interior and architecture industry - has just been launched in Hanoi , bringing new but profound directions: developing living spaces associated with nature, respecting cultural identity and taking people as the center. TREND 26+ is the result of a process of synthesizing data from the global reporting system, as well as surveying and analyzing living practices in Vietnam, conducted by domestic and international design experts.
Architect Hoang Thuc Hao - Vice President of Vietnam Association of Architects shared at the launching ceremony of TREND 26+ publication.
The publication consists of 552 pages, introducing 31 key interior trends for the period 2026–2030. The highlight of TREND 26+ lies not in purely aesthetic surfaces, but in the way it approaches design as part of culture – where people, the environment and the local spirit blend into a sustainable living ecosystem.
The three proposed major pillars include: Sustainability and greening; Personalization and humanization; Technology integration. In particular, the issue of sustainability and greening will emphasize green architecture, renewable materials, interiors made from rattan, bamboo, natural wood, mineral paint, raw fabric - traditional materials that are strongly reviving thanks to the trend of minimalist and environmentally friendly living. At the same time, TREND 26+ also mentions personalization and humanization, that is, emphasizing human-respecting design - a space that reflects personality, needs and personal cultural depth.
In addition, the publication also suggests the symbiosis between technology and nature, when AI, smart control, and smart materials do not destroy the rustic look, but instead increase the adaptability of the living space. The philosophy of "humanity" throughout the proposals in TREND 26+ is expressed through slow, intimate designs that take emotions as a measure instead of just following functionality.
TREND 26+ focuses on indigenous identity, sustainable development and philosophies for humanity.
According to Architect Hoang Thuc Hao - Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Architects: "The appearance of Trend 26+ not only marks the birth of a reliable in-depth project for professionals, but also attracts public attention, opening a series of activities to promote connections in the industry, update trends and develop domestic creativity, contributing to building a dynamic and unique Vietnamese interior industry."
The publication aims to guide consumers to choose a lifestyle with Vietnamese identity.
This publication is not only aimed at architects or designers, but also highly oriented for consumers who want to choose a lifestyle with Vietnamese identity. In particular, TREND 26+ is built with the expectation of becoming a "trend bridge" - not only reflecting domestic demand, but also a cultural statement as Vietnam participates more deeply in the global interior design and production chain. TREND 26+ delves into the characteristics of acculturation in Vietnam - where factors such as construction capacity, access to technology, local culture... create distinct nuances in living spaces.
Architect Le Truong - Chairman of Vietnam Furniture Association spoke at the event.
Architect Le Truong - Chairman of the Vietnam Furniture Association, said: "With design, trends are not new - but must reflect the identity, social needs and spirit of the times. Forming Vietnamese design trends requires a connection between expertise, creativity and cultural context."
With the message "from Vietnam, towards the region", TREND 26+ does not encourage borrowing, but rather awakens local potential, helping Vietnamese designers, developers and consumers confidently create their own trends - both familiar and global./.
