(DN) - The Department of Construction has issued Document No. 1849/SXD-QLHTKT (dated May 22, 2025) to the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, Bien Hoa City People's Committee, Long Thanh District People's Committee and contractors to urgently inspect and remedy flooding and property damage around the construction area of ​​the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway project, Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City section passing through the province due to heavy rain.

In the document, the Department of Construction requested the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to preside over and work with construction units to urgently inspect and survey the entire route of component project 1, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project and component project 3, Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City section passing through the province according to the reflection of people in Long An commune, Long Thanh district and Bien Hoa city to immediately overcome the flooding situation due to the impact of construction of works under the project.

At the same time, preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and wards where the project passes, and with construction units to find solutions to clear the flow and straighten the drainage to ensure drainage for areas around the project, avoiding flooding during heavy rains due to construction.

Contractors should immediately check locations with water accumulation and potential dangers such as landslides, slippery areas, manholes, drainage ditches, rivers, streams, etc. to post warning signs to inform people and vehicles participating in traffic, ensuring safety in traffic.

Immediately coordinate with communes and wards where the project passes through, check and record cases of people whose property, crops, and livestock are damaged to promptly support affected people. Along with that, fully implement safety measures during construction, especially during rain and storms.

Bien Hoa City People's Committee and Long Thanh and Nhon Trach District People's Committees direct the People's Committees of communes and wards where the project passes through to closely coordinate with the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board and construction units to implement solutions to prevent flooding and ensure traffic safety during the construction of the projects. Timely record flooded areas during heavy rains and send them to investors and construction units for timely remediation, and send them to the Department of Construction for monitoring and urging remediation.
