Cuba announces official funeral for former President Tran Duc Luong

During the official funeral in memory of former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Duc Luong, the Cuban flag will be flown at half-staff on public buildings and military installations.

On May 22, President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel announced an official funeral from 6:00 a.m. on May 24 to 0:00 a.m. on May 25 (local time) to commemorate former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Duc Luong.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel expressed that the Cuban people were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of comrade Tran Duc Luong.

During his glorious leadership career, Comrade Tran Duc Luong made great contributions to Vietnam's innovation and the special brotherly and trusting relationship between the people, Parties and Governments of the two countries.

During the official funeral, the Cuban flag will be flown at half-mast on public buildings and military agencies./.
