Phu Tho receives over 4.4 billion VND in support of the Cuban people

The program "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship" was launched on August 13, 2025. After launching, the Provincial Red Cross Society promoted communication, calling on organizations and individuals to donate and support the Cuban people. Thanks to that, the program has spread strongly with positive response from officials and people throughout the province.

By the end of October 16, the Provincial Red Cross Society had received over 4.4 billion VND from 4,535 individuals and groups through the Society's receiving channel. The entire amount will be transferred to the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society according to regulations.

Many schools in the province have launched programs to support the Cuban people.

The year 2025 marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (1960 - 2025). The program "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba friendship" is an opportunity for the Vietnamese people to express their respect and loyal affection for the Cuban people. At the same time, it further strengthens the traditional friendship, contributing to consolidating peace , cooperation and sustainable development.

The program was held for 65 days, from August 13 to October 16, with the goal of mobilizing at least 65 billion VND to support the Cuban people to overcome some of their difficulties. Before that, right after the national launching ceremony on August 13 in Hanoi , the campaign quickly received widespread response from all walks of life. Through online campaign channels, the program achieved the goal of mobilizing at least 65 billion VND in just 30 hours.
