In recent times, Nha Trang Maritime Port Authority, Department of Transport (now Department of Construction), Cam Ranh City People's Committee and a number of port enterprises have strengthened coordination in handling illegal aquaculture and fishing activities encroaching on maritime works, shipping channels, and anchorage areas in the seaport waters of Cam Ranh Bay. Thereby, the units have gradually relocated and cleared cages from waters where aquaculture is not permitted; prevented the emergence of more illegal aquaculture cages; promptly prevented and strictly handled violations.

To completely resolve this situation, Nha Trang Maritime Port Authority recommends that appropriate sanctions be imposed on uncooperative households who deliberately violate the law; seaport enterprises whose maritime works are encroached upon must have a proactive plan to propagate and clear the scope of their works.
