Quang Ninh: Hoping UNESCO will continue to accompany in the work of preserving and promoting the value of heritages

Sharing at the meeting, Mr. Vu Dai Thang affirmed that Quang Ninh has paid special attention and invested in preserving and promoting the value of Ha Long Bay, which has been recognized as a World Natural Heritage, making Ha Long Bay an attractive tourist destination for international visitors.

In addition, Quang Ninh also pays great attention to preserving cultural, religious and belief heritages in the area. In particular, Yen Tu relic and scenic area is identified as a relic of special value. In particular, from May 25 to 28, Buddha's relics are expected to be brought to Truc Lam Yen Tu Palace for enshrinement. This is considered a clear demonstration of Quang Ninh's efforts in further promoting the value of Yen Tu.

Currently, Quang Ninh, Hai Duong and Bac Giang have coordinated to complete the dossier "The Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac" to submit to UNESCO for recognition as a World Heritage Site.

"We hope that in the coming time, the World Heritage Center will continue to accompany and support Quang Ninh in the work of preserving and promoting the values ​​of heritages in the province," said Mr. Vu Dai Thang.

Responding to Mr. Vu Dai Thang, Director of the Lazare World Heritage Center highly appreciated the coordination of Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh province in particular with the World Heritage Center and UNESCO organizations in heritage conservation.

Mr. Lazare affirmed that through meetings with General Secretary To Lam and the Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, the delegation of the World Heritage Center was provided with very important information about the value of Yen Tu to the people of Quang Ninh as well as the people of Vietnam.

According to the assessment, the dossier of “The Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac” has been elaborately and meticulously built, meeting the standards. Therefore, the recognition of this complex as a World Heritage Site at the upcoming UNESCO meeting is very positive. Mr. Lazare also affirmed that the World Heritage Center will continue to accompany and support Quang Ninh in the work of preserving heritages in the area.

"We also hope that Quang Ninh will continue to promote solutions to balance development and conservation of heritages that have been implemented very effectively in recent times," said Mr. Lazare.
