Handing over 700 charity houses sponsored by T&T Group and SHB to people in Bac Lieu province

Bac Lieu is a province with many ethnic minorities living, with the majority of people working in agriculture . This is also a locality that is often affected by natural disasters, drought, salinity, riverbank and coastal erosion, so people's lives still face many difficulties; the number of poor and near-poor households in the province is still high. According to statistics, Bac Lieu province currently has 3,886 poor households (accounting for 1.71%) and 6,911 near-poor households (accounting for 3.04%); of which about 1,758 poor and near-poor households have difficulty with housing, have to live in temporary houses, dilapidated houses that need attention and support for construction.

In the context of limited local resources, in early 2025, the Ministry of Public Security has advocated accompanying and supporting Bac Lieu province to build 700 houses for poor and near-poor households. With the spirit of social responsibility of large enterprises, and the desire to contribute resources to help people with housing difficulties in Bac Lieu province soon stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind, T&T Group and SHB Bank have decided to accompany the Ministry of Public Security in the program of "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in Bac Lieu this time, by sponsoring the entire cost to build 700 houses, bringing a solid home to the households.

Following the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, with a spirit of determination and determination to ensure the set progress, Bac Lieu Provincial Police organized a survey to build houses for poor and near-poor households in the province, proactively coordinating with local authorities to urgently speed up the construction progress. Police officers at all levels contributed working days to support people in building houses. To date, 700 houses for poor and near-poor households in the area have been completed, meeting the purpose, requirements and achieving 100% of the set progress.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Lam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, thanked the close coordination in leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and functional units of Bac Lieu province in the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, in which the Public Security Forces are the core and pioneers; thanked the companionship of T&T Group and SHB Bank for supporting and funding. Congratulating the households that were awarded houses, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Lam believed that with new, stable and solid housing, the households will feel secure in working and producing, continue to promote the spirit of national solidarity, trust in the leadership of the Party and State, continue to rise up in life, actively participate in ensuring security, order, social safety and building a solid people's security posture at the grassroots level.

In recent years, the Ministry of Public Security has taken the lead in mobilizing and coordinating with localities to build a total of more than 28,600 houses, many schools and schools with a budget of more than 1,400 billion VND. In particular, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the Ministry of Public Security has mobilized all forces to donate daily wages with a total budget of 362 billion VND to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in 2 provinces (Cao Bang, Gia Lai) according to the Government's program. In addition, it has mobilized resources to continue to support the elimination of more than 4,400 temporary and dilapidated houses, with a budget of over 280 billion VND for poor households, policy families, families with meritorious services to the revolution, and ethnic minorities nationwide.
