These days, people in Cao Son commune are concentrating on harvesting the last batches of tea. From morning until late afternoon, trucks carrying Fresh tea buds lined up at the tea factory of Muong Hoa Company Limited.
Today, Mr. Thao Pao and his wife in Pa Cheo Phin B village also brought tea to sell. After weighing, Mr. Pao received payment of more than 1 million VND.

Mr. Pao said: “The income from growing tea is about 50 million VND per year. The tea tree is now in its 5th year, growing steadily, just need to take care and harvest to have income, no need to work far from home anymore.”
Among the enterprises contributing to making Cao Son commune a branded tea region, Muong Hoa Company Limited is one of the units that have been attached to this land the earliest.
Cooperating with tea farmers since 2011, Muong Hoa Company has developed Kim Tuyen tea material area of more than 300 hectares, specializing in providing tea buds for oolong tea production for export.

To create trust and stabilize the source of raw materials, the company has invested in factories and production lines right in the locality. Many times when the market is difficult, the company still buys raw materials for farmers so that they can rest assured to maintain the tea growing area.
"The company is always committed to purchasing tea from people at market prices" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Director of Muong Hoa Company Limited said.
Muong Hoa Company’s factory also creates direct jobs for many local workers. Mr. Giang Sinh, from Pa Cheo Phin village, has been working as a technician at the factory for 4 years and said: “I have mastered the entire tea processing process. With a stable income, I feel secure in working right in the locality.”

Established on the basis of merging 4 communes: Cao Son, Lung Khau Nhin, La Pan Tan and Ta Thang, Cao Son commune has the advantage of land and cool climate suitable for growing many types of crops such as tea, temperate fruit trees and medicinal herbs, which are also the main crops in the locality.

With the efforts of the Party Committee and the government, up to now, Cao Son has formed a tea, fruit tree and medicinal herb growing area of nearly 1,600 hectares, of which 1,200 hectares are tea trees, bringing stable income to the people.
To increase the value of agricultural products, Cao Son advocates attracting businesses to invest in processing, forming a value chain from cultivation to deep processing and consumption.

To realize this policy, Cao Son commune has been implementing many mechanisms and policies to support businesses such as supporting land accumulation and concentration for production development; planning suitable land locations for factory construction; flexibly utilizing capital from national target programs to support key crops for concentrated production in the direction of goods; and supporting technology transfer.
The commune also devotes a lot of resources to investing in transport infrastructure and irrigation to serve the production and transportation of agricultural products. At the same time, it commits to accompany businesses, minimizing the time to carry out administrative procedures.

Mr. Tran Hoang Anh - Chairman of Cao Son Commune People's Committee shared: Regarding the existing tea material area, we really hope that businesses will come to invest and build more processing factories in the locality, especially a factory to process ancient tea products in the area of Ta Thanh commune (old).
We are committed to creating all favorable conditions and always accompanying businesses to produce and do business long-term in the locality.
Cao Son commune is being oriented to transform from a growing area to a processing area, bringing practical benefits to the people. When businesses are strong, local factories create jobs, and raw material prices are stable, people are also assured to stick with it. That is the sustainable development model that many localities are looking for.
