Forum "Promoting creative startups in Lao Cai province"

On the morning of October 25, in Bac Ha commune, the Lao Cai Provincial Women's Union coordinated with the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Aide et action (AEA) and the Center for Gender, Family and Environment in Development (CGFED) to co-organize the forum "Promoting innovative startups in Lao Cai province".

The forum is a key activity within the framework of the Project "Promoting career and business development for youth and women" implemented by AEA with funding from the European Union, the French Development Agency (AFD) and the L'Oréal Foundation.

With the theme “Promoting the ecosystem and startup incubators of Lao Cai province”, the forum is a space for open and multi-dimensional dialogue between departments, branches, experts and the business community. Here, delegates exchanged practical experiences and proposed many solutions to build a creative startup ecosystem suitable to local conditions and characteristics.

At the forum, 5 typical micro-business models of Lao Cai and Thanh Hoa provinces were honored and awarded. Representatives of the models also shared practical experiences and pledged to continue to accompany and contribute to promoting the development of local startup incubators.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Dinh Minh Ha - President of the Lao Cai Provincial Women's Union emphasized that the forum is an opportunity to connect, spread the spirit of innovation, and enhance the position of women and youth in the highlands in sustainable economic development.
