Not flamboyant with flowers or luxurious in big parties, Vietnamese Women’s Day in the highlands is marked by daily activities, simple but meaningful. In the highland villages, love and community spirit are the most beautiful gifts for women on this special day.
Together, women participate in community activities, cultural exchanges, cook intimate meals, or organize common, meaningful activities such as cleaning villages, schools, and cultural activities. These activities not only bring joy but also strengthen solidarity and unity among members.
In the mountainous commune of Na Phac, the atmosphere of celebrating October 20 was spread through exciting sports activities. Local organizations and unions coordinated to organize volleyball exchanges, attracting a large number of cadres, members and people to participate. The event welcomed the success of the Congress of the Fatherland Front at all levels, towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025). On the simple football field, the bursts of laughter and beautiful moves really fueled the joyful and cohesive atmosphere.
Mr. Luc Anh Luan, Chairman of Na Phac Commune People's Committee shared: Volleyball exchange activities not only create a healthy playground for women members, but also arouse the spirit of solidarity and cohesion between organizations, unions and people. Thereby, women are more confident, attached to the organization, actively participate in the movement to build new rural areas in the locality.

Not only stopping at sports, many women's associations in villages also organize thematic meetings, sharing economic skills, raising children, preserving national cultural identity... Although not elaborate, those meetings are still warm, because behind them is sincere concern for women in the highlands.
A representative of the Women's Union of Hop Thanh commune said: To celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day October 20, the Union has carried out many exciting and meaningful activities such as: Organizing a contest to learn about gender equality, cultural and sports exchanges, thematic discussions and giving gifts to poor children. The activities have contributed to strengthening solidarity and spreading the good qualities of Vietnamese women in the new era.
Many women in the highlands confided: On October 20, in the village, there are no flowers or gifts, but we always feel warm when people in the village give us simple, sincere wishes and organize a family meal together, which feels very meaningful.
Many places also combine the celebration of October 20 with meaningful activities such as launching a savings movement, growing clean vegetables, making handicrafts to raise funds to support women members in difficult circumstances. With a sincere heart, meticulousness and skillful hands, the gifts, though small, contain the spirit of mutual love and sharing in the community.
Through these simple yet emotional ways, the October 20th of women in the highlands is still filled with joy, pride and optimism. In that simplicity, the beauty of the resilient, capable, and loving highland women shines even more truly and deeply.
