Responsibility to history
The “National Flag Road” leading to the house of the father of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Van Troi is a practical project of the local youth. Not only honoring the outstanding son of the homeland, the road lined with red flags with yellow stars also ignites national pride and love for the homeland in every Thanh Quyt villager.
Realizing the symbolic value of the project, the Thanh Quyt 4 Youth Union has regularly maintained the replacement of new flags, and the maintenance and upkeep of the “National Flag Street” every two months. Thanks to this dedicated care, the project is always kept clean, beautiful, and solemn, showing respect for history, while contributing to educating the revolutionary tradition for union members and local youth.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Be, the younger sister of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Van Troi, shared: “The house of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Van Troi’s parents is a city-level historical and cultural relic, so on holidays and Tet, many agencies, departments, organizations as well as delegations of visitors come to offer incense to commemorate Mr. Troi. I am now old, so cleaning and taking care of the relic site can only be done within my ability. I am very happy that the union members and youths in the lower hamlet of Thanh Quyt are always present, regularly cleaning, and burning incense thoughtfully to welcome visitors.”
Mr. Le Tu Thinh, Secretary of Thanh Quyt 4 Youth Union, shared: “The youth of Thanh Quyt 4 block are always proud to be born and raised in the homeland of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Van Troi. In the Youth Union - Young Pioneers activities or community activities, we always try to incorporate stories about the life, fighting spirit and noble sacrifice of Mr. Troi so that children and students can learn and follow.”
Volunteer to build the homeland
Promoting the revolutionary tradition in the homeland of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Van Troi, the youth of Thanh Quyt 4 block always demonstrate the spirit of initiative, volunteerism, and willingness to contribute to the community. From the savings fund through the monthly scrap collection model, Thanh Quyt 4 Youth Union not only implements the program "Foster Children of the Union" but also cooks hundreds of free meals to hand out to the homeless and poor workers in the central markets of Da Nang city.

In each sharing journey, the Dien Ban Volunteers Association always leaves footprints of the members and youth of Thanh Quyt 4 block. Currently, the block has 15 young people who are core members of the group, accounting for nearly half of the total number of members of the association. With the motto "Give love - Receive smiles", the youth of Thanh Quyt 4 have traveled with the group to many places in the Central region, bringing gifts and charitable meals to the poor.
In the journey of digital transformation to build a "smart neighborhood", Mr. Le Tu Cong Ly (student majoring in Information Technology, Da Nang University of Education) proactively established a Community Digital Technology Team with 5 members specializing in information technology in the village.
The digital technology team has actively supported villagers in performing digital operations, using the VNeID application, making cashless payments, installing electronic identification codes...
The appearance of the group has contributed to narrowing the digital gap, bringing technology closer to rural people. Mr. Ly plans to research the digitization of the relic in front of the house of the heroic martyr Nguyen Van Troi's parents to help tourists and people easily access historical documents, images, and videos about Mr. Troi right at the relic.
Mr. Truong Cong Phat, Head of Thanh Quyt 4 Ward, shared: “We are very proud that the young generation of the ward is always deeply aware of the revolutionary tradition, especially the heroic sacrifice of Heroic Martyr Nguyen Van Troi. The union members and young people are not only active in studying and working but also pioneers in volunteer activities, preserving relics, and caring for the disadvantaged in the village."
