Responsibility to history
The "National Flag Road" leading to the home of the parents of the heroic martyr Nguyen Van Troi is a practical project of the local youth. Not only does it honor the outstanding son of the homeland, but the road, lined with red flags with yellow stars, also ignites national pride and love for the homeland in every resident of Thanh Quyt village.
Recognizing the symbolic value of the monument, the Youth Union of Thanh Quyt 4 neighborhood has regularly replaced the flags and maintained the "National Flag Road" every two months. Thanks to this dedicated care, the monument is always kept clean, beautiful, and solemn, demonstrating respect for history and contributing to the education of revolutionary traditions for local youth union members and teenagers.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Be, the younger sister of the heroic martyr Nguyen Van Troi, shared: “The home of the heroic martyr Nguyen Van Troi is a city-level historical and cultural relic, so during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), many agencies, departments, organizations, and delegations come to offer incense and pay respects to him. I am now elderly, so I can only do the cleaning and maintenance of the relic site to the best of my ability. I am very happy that the youth union members from Thanh Quyt hamlet are always present, regularly cleaning and burning incense thoughtfully to welcome visitors.”
Mr. Le Tu Thinh, Secretary of the Thanh Quyt 4 Youth Union, shared: “The youth of Thanh Quyt 4 neighborhood are always proud to be born and raised in the homeland of the heroic martyr Nguyen Van Troi. In our Youth Union and Children's Union activities or community activities, we always try to incorporate stories about the life, fighting spirit, and noble sacrifice of Mr. Troi so that children and students can learn from and emulate him.”
Pioneering in building our homeland
Upholding the revolutionary traditions of the homeland of the heroic martyr Nguyen Van Troi, the youth of Thanh Quyt 4 neighborhood always demonstrate a pioneering and volunteer spirit, ready to contribute to the community. From savings accumulated through a monthly scrap collection program, the Thanh Quyt 4 Youth Union not only implements the "Adopted Children of the Youth Union" program but also cooks hundreds of free meals to deliver directly to homeless people and poor laborers in the central markets of Da Nang city.

In every journey of sharing, the Dien Ban Volunteer Association always leaves its mark with the footsteps of its members and young people from Thanh Quyt 4 neighborhood. Currently, the neighborhood has 15 young people as core members of the group, accounting for nearly half of the total membership of the association. With the motto "Give love - Receive smiles," the young people of Thanh Quyt 4 have traveled with the group to many places in Central Vietnam, bringing gifts and compassionate meals to the poor.
In the journey of digital transformation to build a "smart neighborhood," Le Tu Cong Ly (a student majoring in Information Technology at Da Nang University of Education) proactively established a community digital technology team with 5 members who have expertise in information technology in the village.
The digital technology team has actively supported villagers in performing digital operations, using the VNeID application, making cashless payments, installing electronic identification codes...
The group's establishment has contributed to bridging the digital divide, bringing technology closer to rural people. Mr. Ly plans to research the digitization of the historical site in front of the house of the parents of the heroic martyr Nguyen Van Troi to help tourists and locals easily access historical documents, images, and videos about Troi right at the site.
Mr. Truong Cong Phat, Head of Thanh Quyt 4 neighborhood, shared: “We are very proud that the younger generation in our neighborhood is deeply aware of the revolutionary traditions, especially the heroic sacrifice of Martyr Nguyen Van Troi. Our young members are not only enthusiastic in their studies and work but also pioneers in charitable activities, preserving historical relics, and caring for the disadvantaged in the village.”
