Implementing Resolutions 59 and 68 of the Politburo on International Integration in the New Situation and Private Economic Development, on October 24th, the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia, in coordination with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Sydney and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Perth, co-organized the first online meeting between Australian-Vietnamese organizations, associations, and business councils in all states, as well as Vietnamese businesses and overseas Vietnamese businesses operating in the country.
The event attracted nearly 30 delegates, including the President, Vice President, and executive board members of nine Australian-Vietnamese business organizations, associations, and councils, as well as businesspeople from various states and cities and representatives of many Vietnamese businesses investing and operating in Australia.
Former Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, Andrew Goledzinowski, who is currently an advisor to several organizations involved in cooperation with Vietnam, also attended and spoke at the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was to strengthen connections and promote cooperation among organizations and business groups interested in Vietnam across Australia.
According to the Ambassador, this is a great opportunity for associations to get acquainted, build networks, explore potential cooperation, and open up the possibility of establishing a Union of Australian-Vietnamese Business Associations across Australia.

Echoing Ambassador Pham Hung Tam's sentiment, former Ambassador Andrew stated that he is currently working with numerous Vietnamese associations in Australia, such as the Association of Professionals and Intellectuals, the Women's Association, and the Business Association, and recognizes the significant need for coordinated activities among these organizations and associations.
Simon White, Chairman of the Australia-Vietnam Business Council - Queensland branch (AVBCQ), also emphasized the need to connect and form a unified organization bringing together various associations in Australia interested in doing business with Vietnam.
This idea also received the approval of Mr. Tran Ba Phuc, President of the Vietnamese Business Association in Australia (VBAA), and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc My, President of the Vietnam-Northern Australia Business Council (NTVBC).
During the meeting, delegates introduced their organizations and businesses, suggested business cooperation opportunities, and discussed sharing information and data, establishing contact groups on the WhatsApp application, and generally agreed to consider establishing a unified organization across Australia.
On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam highly appreciated the support and cooperation of local business organizations and associations for Vietnamese enterprises and Vietnamese delegations to Australia.
