Vietnamese Embassy attends the ASEAN - Australia Bridge School Partnership Announcement Ceremony

On November 13, Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam attended the announcement ceremony of school partners in the ASEAN Australia BRIDGE Program held online with the participation of representatives of the embassies of 11 ASEAN countries in Canberra.

Ambassador Pham Hung Tam attended the announcement ceremony of school partnerships in the ASEAN Australia BRIDGE Program.

Ambassador Pham Hung Tam congratulated the successful connection between Binh Phu High School (Vietnam) and St Michael's Lutheran School (Australia); emphasizing the important role of education in connecting people, building trust, promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding, thereby fostering long-term cooperation.

The ASEAN-Australia BRIDGE School Partnership Program is an initiative of the ASEAN-Australia Centre, under the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and implemented by Asialink Education at the University of Melbourne.

The aim of the Program is to enhance connectivity and develop cooperation between secondary schools in Australia and ASEAN member countries.

This year, the Program connects 18 schools, each participating school will nominate a representative teacher to participate in online professional training and share with teachers of their school, coordinate cooperation activities between their school and the partner school, visit the partner school for a week, and welcome a guest teacher from the partner school for a week.

In addition, each school will also select a group of 8 students to participate in a number of online forums and joint projects with students from all participating schools.

Since its inception in 2016, nearly 10 Vietnamese schools have participated in the Program.
