Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to its relations with Ireland, emphasizing that the opening of the Vietnamese Embassy in Ireland demonstrates the determination to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the coming time. Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang also suggested that the two sides increase the exchange of delegations at all levels and high levels, especially in 2026, on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Proposing that the two countries further strengthen cooperation, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized priority areas such as renewable energy, high-tech agriculture , science and technology, innovation, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, strategic infrastructure (aviation, seaports); Ireland increased imports of high-quality agricultural products from Vietnam; requested Ireland to soon ratify the EVIPA Investment Protection Agreement and support Vietnam in its efforts to remove the IUU "yellow card" of the European Commission (EC).
Regarding cooperation in education and training, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang highly appreciated the cooperation results between the two countries within the framework of the Strategic Partnership on Higher Education; thanked Ireland for providing scholarships to Vietnamese students and proposed expanding direct cooperation between universities and research institutes of the two countries.

Expressing his delight at the developments in the bilateral relationship, Ambassador Ní Fhallúin agreed with Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang's proposal to promote delegation exchanges at all levels, especially high-level ones; closely coordinate in organizing activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Ireland diplomatic relations in 2026, and shared that the Irish Embassy in Vietnam is planning to organize many impressive cultural and artistic events on this occasion.
Ambassador Ní Fhallúin emphasized that the increasing number of Vietnamese students studying in Ireland will be an important bridge to promote the friendly relations between the two countries.
The two sides highly appreciated the results of Vietnam-Ireland trade exchange, reaching the milestone of 4.7 billion USD in 2024; agreed to create more favorable conditions for citizens of the two countries to travel in each country to enhance exchanges, understanding and employment.
On this occasion, the two sides agreed to continue to closely coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums, especially the United Nations.
