Also attending were Mr. Luong Xuan Hoa, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association of Udon Thani Province and Mr. Ho Van Lam, Chairman of the Thai - Vietnamese Business Association of Thailand.
The working program aims to summarize and evaluate the cooperation results in 2025, determine the direction and plans for coordination work in 2026.
At the meeting, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh expressed his thanks to Associate Professor Dr. Kanisara Thansunthonsakul, Principal and staff of Udon Thani Royal University for their warm welcome and valuable sincere feelings.
Thanks to the effective coordination of the Royal University of Udon Thani, the Vietnamese Consulate General has completed many important tasks in 2025, such as a series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day, honoring President Ho Chi Minh , or the first Vietnamese language activities organized such as "Vietnamese Language Honor Day in Northeast Thailand" and "Training course to improve Vietnamese language teaching capacity for overseas Vietnamese teachers".
Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh emphasized that the above results affirm the goodwill of cooperation and good feelings of the school, contributing to enhancing cultural exchange, connecting people, helping the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Thailand become deeper and more meaningful.
Regarding cooperation in the coming time, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh affirmed that education - training and cultural exchange continue to be the highlights in the relationship between the two countries. The Vietnamese Consulate General will continue to coordinate with the Royal University of Udon Thani and overseas Vietnamese associations to promote cultural exchange activities, exchange lecturers and students, promote the role of the Vietnam Studies Center, contributing to supporting the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning Vietnamese in the overseas Vietnamese community and the young generation of Thailand.

Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Kanisara Thansunthonsakul, Rector of Udon Thani Royal University, highly appreciated the cooperation initiatives and effective coordination of the Vietnamese Consulate General in recent times, not only enhancing the teaching of Vietnamese language and culture, but also promoting exchanges and connecting the young generations of the two countries, contributing to building a foundation of sustainable friendship and cooperation between the people of the two countries.
Royal Udon Thani University is increasingly affirming its role and responsibility towards the community, especially Thai students and the young generation of Vietnamese origin. In 2026, the school agreed to introduce Vietnamese teachers and students to teach Vietnamese in the community, and at the same time hoped that the Vietnamese Consulate General would continue to support connections and expand cooperation with major universities in Vietnam.
Based on the good cooperation results in 2025, the two sides agreed to coordinate with the overseas Vietnamese community to organize a meaningful "Vietnam - Thailand Cultural Day" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Thailand diplomatic relations (August 6, 1976 - August 6, 2026). This is an important work content in 2026, contributing to strengthening and deepening the Vietnam - Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
