Vietnamese representative agencies in Australia join hands to support compatriots affected by storms and floods

Ambassador Pham Hung Tam, Consul General Nguyen Thanh Tung and Consul General Nguyen Thanh Ha, along with staff members of the Vietnamese diplomatic mission, donated to support those affected by the storms and floods.

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the initiative of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , the Party Committees of the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Sydney, and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Perth organized a fundraising event to support people in provinces and cities in Vietnam that suffered heavy losses due to the recent storms and floods.

With a spirit of mutual support, compassion, national solidarity, and brotherly love, the Party Committee Secretary and Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia, Pham Hung Tam, the Vietnamese Consul General in Sydney, Nguyen Thanh Tung, the Vietnamese Consul General in Perth, Nguyen Thanh Ha, along with the Party Committee and representatives of the Party branches, actively participated in supporting compatriots in Vietnam who suffered losses due to natural disasters.

Contributions from organizations and individuals will continue to be accepted until October 12th, after which they will be transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front .

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam informed about the losses suffered by people in Vietnam due to the recent storms and floods, and called on all staff and employees of Vietnamese representative agencies and branches, associations, and the Vietnamese community in Australia to uphold the spirit of "mutual support" and "helping those in need" by donating to support their compatriots in Vietnam.

The ambassador affirmed that all acts of sharing and assistance, both spiritual and material, are noble gestures, demonstrating affection and responsibility towards the homeland. These are also practical actions that contribute to sharing difficulties and helping people in disaster-stricken areas to quickly stabilize their lives and restore production.

Contributions from organizations and individuals will continue to be accepted until October 12th, after which they will be transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to be promptly distributed to people in the flood-affected areas, contributing to relief efforts and recovery from the natural disaster.
