Reporting at the meeting, the representative of the Department of Industry and Trade said that for the project route passing through Bien Hoa city, there are 10 locations of the medium and low voltage grid that need to be relocated, dismantled, and renovated underground to serve the project construction. To date, the construction unit has completed the relocation of 9 locations. The remaining location at the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap Street has also been registered for a power outage on May 29 to carry out the relocation. For the high voltage grid, there are 2 pole locations of the 220kV grid that need to be relocated and raised, the contractor has gathered materials but has not yet started construction due to the lack of site handover. For the route passing through Bien Hoa city, the relocation of the power infrastructure has completed about 90% of the contracted volume and is expected to be completed by the end of May.
For the project route through Long Thanh district, the medium and low voltage grid and transformer stations have 32 locations that need to be relocated, dismantled, and renovated underground. To date, 21 locations have been completed. The remaining 11 locations are expected to be completed before June 10. For the high voltage grid, there are 13 locations that need to be relocated and 20 poles raised. Currently, Long Thanh district has mobilized people to hand over the site, is implementing construction on 7 pole locations, and is expected to complete the entire workload in June 2025.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha assessed that the localities have made efforts to speed up the site clearance for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project, however, the progress of relocating the power infrastructure is slow, affecting the construction work. Therefore, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee criticized the director of the Long Thanh District Project Management Board and reminded the units such as the Provincial Land Fund Development Center and the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha also assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to monitor and report on the entire progress of the relocation of the power infrastructure of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project. The investors rebuilding the new critical path will send the Department of Industry and Trade for appraisal and report to the Provincial People's Committee so that the Provincial People's Committee can approve the reporting plan and commit to the implementation progress with the Ministry of Construction .
