Through endoscopy, doctors will detect precancerous lesions such as colon polyps.

According to Dr. Anh, people without risk factors should have a colonoscopy from the age of 45 for screening. If the results are normal, they should have another colonoscopy after 5 years. People with risk factors such as relatives with colon cancer or colon polyps should have a screening colonoscopy from the age of 40. People with symptoms of colon disease should have a colonoscopy as soon as possible.
