This is a meaningful activity that the City focuses on implementing to recognize and show gratitude for the contributions of artists in general and artists who participated in the revolution, artists who won the State Prize, Ho Chi Minh Prize, People's Artist, Meritorious Artist, who have worked and contributed to the development of literature and art in the City over the past 50 years.
Photographer Minh Loc is 88 years old this year. Despite his old age and difficulty in walking, his spirit is very clear. When the City leaders visited him, he was very excited, continuously telling today's young generation stories and historical milestones of the unique and special photos that he has taken during his decades of pursuing photography.

In particular, photographer Minh Loc was moved to tears when recounting his memories, happily introducing his photo that was selected to be displayed at the photo exhibition "The Land of a Thousand Flowers" organized by Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, and also expressed his hope and aspiration to hold more solo exhibitions in the future...

Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong said: “Recently, Ho Chi Minh City and the Central agencies organized the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. In the propaganda work, especially related to the portrayal of the heroic resistance war of the Vietnamese people and the great victory of the country, photographers, war reporters... have contributed with photographic works, literary and artistic works, which have partly helped the younger generations and the people of the City understand and feel the value of the heroic history of the nation...”.
At musician Tran Xuan Tien's home, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong respectfully listened to his thoughts and feelings, and inquired about the health of the talented, humorous and witty musician. He also, on behalf of the City's leaders, presented a meaningful gift and wished musician Tran Xuan Tien good health and a happy life.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited People's Artist Kim Cuong. The stage diva was very happy and moved when she received much attention, visits and encouragement from leaders of Ho Chi Minh City.

Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong expressed his admiration and acknowledged the very positive and meaningful contributions of People's Artist Kim Cuong in art and social life. On behalf of the City's leaders, he presented a warm gift and wished the female artist good health, longevity, happiness, beauty, and continued to accompany the City's literature and art sector on the upcoming journey.
