On May 23, the National Assembly Standing Committee sent to National Assembly deputies a report explaining and accepting deputies' opinions on the organization of questioning at the 9th session.
Accordingly, on May 16, the National Assembly Standing Committee reported to the National Assembly on the organization of the questioning session at the 9th session and directed the National Assembly Secretary General to send ballots asking for deputies' opinions on choosing 2 out of 3 groups of questioning issues and the people answering the questions.
316 National Assembly deputies responded, of which 255 deputies chose the group of issues in the financial sector, accounting for 80.7%. The group of issues in theeducation and training sector was chosen by 192 deputies, accounting for 60.76%. The group of issues in the science and technology sector was chosen by 184 deputies, accounting for 58.23%.
According to the Regulations on the Organization of the National Assembly's Supervisory Activities, the groups of issues selected by the National Assembly for questioning at the 9th session belong to two areas: finance and education and training.
Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang will speak on the morning of June 19, answering questions about financial solutions for socio-economic development, ensuring growth targets, renewing traditional growth drivers, and establishing and promoting new growth drivers.
The Minister will also outline solutions to improve the operational efficiency of state-owned enterprises; solutions to support and promote the development of the private economy into the most important driving force of the economy; solutions to promote the attraction of foreign direct investment (FDI). Mechanisms and policies to promote, attract investment, and develop industrial parks and economic zones.
Next, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son will answer a group of questions about the current situation and solutions for developing and improving the quality of higher education in conjunction with the need to create high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of socio-economic development; the implementation of legal regulations on extra teaching and learning. Ensuring a safe, healthy and friendly educational environment; preventing and combating school violence; and ensuring food safety and hygiene in schools are also among the issues that Minister Nguyen Kim Son will explain to the National Assembly.
As usual, Government members will participate in answering questions and explaining related issues.
