On May 22, the National Assembly discussed the Resolution on tuition exemption at educational institutions.

According to the program of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on May 22, the National Assembly listened to the Minister of Education and Training present the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on exemption and support of tuition fees for preschool children, general education students, and people studying general education programs at educational institutions in the national education system.

In the morning session, the Minister of Education and Training , authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Draft Resolution of the National Assembly on universalizing preschool education for preschool children from 3 to 5 years old. The Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Social Affairs presented the Report on the examination of the Draft Resolution of the National Assembly on universalizing preschool education for preschool children from 3 to 5 years old.

Next, the Minister ofEducation and Training continued to present the Draft Resolution of the National Assembly on exemption and support of tuition fees for preschool children, high school students, and students of general education programs at educational institutions in the national education system. After that, the National Assembly discussed the draft Law on Inspection (amended); the Government Inspector General spoke to explain and clarify a number of issues raised by National Assembly deputies.

In the afternoon of the same day, the National Assembly discussed in Groups: Draft Resolution of the National Assembly on exemption and support of tuition fees for preschool children, general education students, and people studying general education programs at educational institutions in the national education system. Draft Resolution of the National Assembly on universalizing preschool education for preschool children from 3 to 5 years old. Draft Resolution of the National Assembly on extending the exemption period for agricultural land use tax as stipulated in Resolution No. 55/2010/QH12 of the National Assembly on exemption and reduction of agricultural land use tax, which has been amended and supplemented by a number of articles according to Resolution No. 28/2016/QH14 and Resolution No. 107/2020/QH14.

Previously, in the morning session of May 21, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the hall to listen to the Submission and Report on the examination of the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Youth and the Law on Implementing Democracy at Grassroots Level; discussed in the hall about: Shortening the term of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term; the national election day for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; voted to pass the Resolution of the National Assembly on shortening the term of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term; voted to pass the Resolution of the National Assembly on the national election day for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; Discuss in the hall about the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies.

In the afternoon session on May 21, the National Assembly discussed in groups the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Youth and the Law on Grassroots Democracy; the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for social housing development; the draft Resolution of the National Assembly replacing Resolution No. 35/2021/QH15 dated November 13, 2021 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Hai Phong City.
